SMPIT Insan Mandiri Parung selama Bulan Ramadhan menghelat berbagai kegiatan untuk menginspirasi siswa, salah satunya ada Inspirasi Ramadhan setiap harinya, pada hari Selasa, 4 April 2023 di isi langsung oleh Kepala sekolah, Ustdzah Eliya Marliza, S. Pd.I.
Berikut paparan kisah inspiratif yang disampaikan ustadzah Eliya; Ini sebuah Kisah Nyata, karena tanpa sadar, melakukan kekejaman yang sungguh terlambat disadari, kasih sayang, mengulurkan tangan adalah sifat hati nurani terdalam
Foto gadis kecil diambil oleh Kevin Carter, seorang photografer asal Afrika Selatan
Foto tersebut diambil tahun 1993 di Sudan bagian Selatan dan di bulan May 1994 Kevin Carter memenangkan Pulitzer untuk foto tersebut, sebuah penghargaan tertinggi Jurnalistik
Foto itu bercerita tentang seorang gadis yang menangis kelaparan dan berusaha merangkak kelelahan menuju camp pengungsian PBB yang berjarak 1 Km dari tempatnya
Dengan tanpa pakaian dan tulang kurus kering menonjol di mana-mana
Sementara dibelakangnya dia di bayang-bayangin seekor burung pemakan bangkai yang sudah mencium bau kematian gadis kecil tersebut
Begitu foto tersebut dipublikasikan, New York Times yang menerima foto tersebut segera menerima ribuan penelepon, untuk menanyakan kabar gadis itu :
“Apakah dia mati ?”
“Apakah saya bisa sampai ke penampungan PBB ?”
“Apakah dia dimakan burung pemakan bangkai ?”
“Bagaimana agar saya bisa menolong gadis tersebut ?”
“Mengapa Kevin Carter tidak menolong anak gadis itu ?”
Setelah 2 bulan dari dia menerima penghargaan tersebut, Kevin Carter mati bunuh diri, karena dihantui pemandangan tersebut
Dia bunuh diri dengan cara menghirup zat beracun yang dihubungkan melalui sebuah pipa kedalam pick-up truknya
Menurut pengakuan seorang temannya, Kevin Carter diketahui mengalami depresi yang sangat berat dalam hidupnya dan tidak henti-hentinya menangis dan menyalahkan dirinya sendiri
Ini dikarenakan, sesaat setelah mengambil foto tadi, Kevin Carter langsung meninggalkan gadis kecil itu sendirian dan hingga kini dunia tidak mengetahui apa yang kemudian terjadi pada gadis itu
Dia tidak pernah berhenti menangis, menyesali diri
Sebab dia baru sadar, ternyata selama ini dia lebih mengutamakan ketenarannya daripada menolong gadis kecil tersebut
“Mengapa aku tidak menolong gadis itu……!!!”
Itulah yang selalu ada dihatinya
Ya, penyesalan memang selalu datang terlambat
Selagi masih ada Kesempatan untuk mampu Berbuat Baik, lakukan, jangan pernah mengharapkan imbal baliknya, jangan sampai kita menyesali diri, karena Kesempatan berbuat baik itu sudah tertutup
Karena hidup ini hanya sementara
Berbuat baiklah kepada sesama, terhadap kaum yg lemah, miskin, yatim piatu, keluarga dan sesama.
