Cianjur, 3/3 — Student of the month merupakan budaya sekolah insan mandiri dalam bentuk penghargaan bagi siswa yang memenuhi kriteria tertentu. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan sekali setiap sebulan dan diumumkan pada hari Senin selepas kegiatan Upacara Bendera. Kegiatan student of the month adalah apresiasi bagi siswa yang berprestasi untuk memantik semangat meningkatkan dan mempertahankan prestasi yang telah dicapai sehingga bisa menginspirasi siswa yang lain untuk meraih prestasi selanjutnya.
Kriteria pemilihan student of the month dinilai dari siswa yang mampu menginspirasi siswa lainnya, seperti dalam bidang akademik/ non akademik, keaktifan, kepemimpinan dan karakter. Penentuan student of the month ini dilakukan oleh wali kelas dan wali asrama serta berdasarkan musyawarah dengan guru mata pelajaran lainnya.
Pada hari Senin, 27 Februari 2023 telah dipilih student of the month SMAIT Insan Mandiri Arrahman Cianjur dari kelas X atas nama Naswan Sani Ubaydillah yang sebelumnya pada bulan Januari diraih oleh Nafis Pradipta, kelas XI diraih oleh Rando Radius yang sebelumnya pada bulan Januari Umar Al- Faruq dan kelas XII Salman Al- Farisi yang sebelumnya diraih oleh Zam Zam.
Pemberian penghargaan berupa sertifikat dan hadiah uang tunai diberikan kepada siswa peraih student of the month. Penghargaan tersebut diberikan langsung oleh Presiden Direktur Insan Mandiri Dr. H. Karim Santoso, S.Pd, M.Si. Pemberian hadiah diharapkan sebagai penambah semangat siswa dalam berprestasi.
Ustadz Karim dalam sambutannya menyampaikan setiap anak memiliki kecerdasan dan keunikan masing-masing. Kreativitas dan bakat harus didukung dan dikembangkan. Setiap anak bisa jadi juara dan pemimpin. (Lina Listiana)
