Karena pendidikan yang menyeluruh, mestinya mempersiapkan anak untuk hidup baik di dunia maupun akhirat nanti. Inilah alasan pertama saya mengapa Saya memilih SIT untuk anak-anak saya. Karena di SIT, anak tidak hanya dikembangkan aspek akademik-nya, tapi juga aspek spiritual dan mental-nya. Itu makanya di SIT, Pendidikan Agama Islam memiliki porsi yang lebih banyak dibanding sekolah lainnya. Di SIT ada pelajaran Al Quran yg mengajarkan anak membaca dan menghafal Al Quran. Jadi sejak dini anak sudah diajarkan berkomunikasi dengan Tuhan-nya. Mereka juga diajarkan sejarah para Nabi, khususnya Nabi Muhammad SAW. Inilah metode pembelajaran dalam Quran, menceritakan kepada kita masa lalu untuk diambil pelajarannya.
Alasan Kedua, di SIT ada program pengembangan karakter, soft skill. Sebagaimana kita tahu, bahwa soft skill ini yang sangat menentukan kesuksesan seseorang. Program soft skill yg ada di SIT dimulai dari program pembentukan karakter yang dilaksanakan tiap pekan, ada program sosial untuk membantu sesama yang mengalami musibah, baik skala nasional maupun international. Dan yang utama adalah di SIT ada kegiatan Pramuka, salah satu kegiatan di sekolah yang memiliki lembaga atau tautan hingga ke tingkat internasional, shg anak-anak dibangun wawasannya utk berpikir secara global.
Alasan ketiga, biaya sekolah yang cukup tinggi, bukan mahal ya. Karena mahal atau murah adalah relatif. Buat orang yang memiliki kelebihan harta, biaya di SIT itu murah. Biaya tinggi, beda dengan mahal. Mahal belum tentu bagus, tetapi biaya tinggi mencerminkan bahwa di sekolah tersebut memang ada program yang sudah dirancang utk periode waktu tertentu. Ini tentu berbeda dengan sekolah yang berbiaya rendah dan tidak memiliki program. Tapi buat saya bukan cuma itu ketika bicara biaya, menurut saya, semakin besar biaya yang saya keluarkan untuk anak saya, berarti sebesar itulah rejeki anak saya, sebesar itulah rejeki yang akan Allah SWT berikan kepada saya. Saya sadari bahwa bertambahnya rejeki saya ketika bertambahnya anak saya, maka itu adalah rejeki anak saya, dan saya harus menunaikan kepada anak saya. Disamping itu, berapapun biaya yang dikeluarkan orang tua, tidak sebanding dengan hasil yang didapat. Manalah bisa kita membandingkan uang ratusan juta dibandingkan dengan memiliki anak yang hafidz Quran, cerdas dan mandiri. Jadi, ketika kita melihat biaya yang tinggi, lihatlah hasilnya. Allah akan menyediakan mimbar dari cahaya buat orang tua yang memiliki anak yang hafidz Quran.

Ketika banyak yg bilang gaji guru di SIT kecil, sekali lagi kita bicara tentang relativitas, sesuatu yg standarnya masih kabur. Buat kita gaji segitu kecil, tetapi buat mereka berkah. Dari mereka kita belajar tentang keikhlasan. Kita belajar bahwa bekerja bukan sekedar mencari nafkah, tetapi keberkahan yg bisa mengantarkan mereka pada kebahagiaan di dunia dan akhirat.
