Jakarta, 15/8 — Siswa siswi SMPIT Insan Mandiri Jagakarsa Jakarta Selatan dalam program MAJU PESAT 2023, mengadakan pelatihan membuat Eco Enzyme, yang di pandu oleh ibu Maryam, seorang penggiat Eco Enzyme di wilayah Jakarta Selatan.

Eco-Enzyme merupakan larutan/cairan multifungsi yang dihasilkan melalui proses fermentasi dari campuran sisa sampah organik (buah-buahan dan sayuran), gula merah tebu dan air. Warnanya kecoklatan (Muda/Tua) dan berbau asam manis seperti bau khas fermentasi tape atau rice wine.

Adalah dr.Rosukon Poompanvong, seorang peneliti dari negara Thailand yang pertama kali menemukannya setelah researc panjangnya selama kurang lebih 30 tahun. Sejak tahun 1984 beliau mendirikan Asosiasi Pertanian Organik Thailand dan terbukti mampu member solusi praktis terhadap permasalahan lingkungan dengan formula Eco-Enzyme yakni 1 : 3 : 10 (Gula merah tebu 1 kg : Sampah organik 3 kg : air bersih 10 liter) yang di fermentasikan selama 3 bulan.

Apa saja manfaat Eco Enzyme, menurut penuturan Dewi Muti’ah , Eco Enzyme merupakan cairan ajaib yang mempunyai manfaat menakjubkan. Beberapa manfaatnya antara lain untuk kesehatan (menyembuhkan banyak jenis penyakit), pupuk organik, air purifier/ penghasil ozon bahkan untuk pembersih kerak di toilet.
Program ini bertujuan, selain memberikan ilmu pengetahuan, juga sebagai sarana belajar dalam mengolah limbah rumah tangga berupa kulit buah dan sayur, untuk menjadi sesuatu yang bermanfaat. (Lutfhi Zurkarnain)
