Cerdas merupakan potensi yang ada pada setiap anak. Potensi kecerdasan adalah fitrah. Dalam bahasa Arab, fitrah adalah membuka atau menguak. Sesuai konteks bahasa, fitrah diterjemahkan sebagai “sesuatu yang ada, terbuka dan dapat di kuak atau dibuka dan dikeluarkan sebagai kecenderungan kemampuan”.


Seorang anak usia 5 – 6 tahun, sering dan menyukai bermain bola bersama teman-temannya. Aktifitas bermain bola bersama hampir dilakukan setiap sore, bahkan jika hari libur mereka bermain bola pagi dan sore hari. Hampir setiap hari mereka bersama suka bermain bola, walau hujan kadang mereka asyik bermain bola dibawah guyur hujan lebat.
Aktifitas bermain bola, bermain bersama, dilakukan dilapangan, diluar rumah, dilakukan dengan senang, suka, bahagia, rutin-kontinyu. Ini sebagai indikasi bahwa fitrah bermain telah terkuak. Keinginan dasar-lah yang menggerakkan anak “mengeluarkan” fitrah bermainnya. Ayah-Bunda dirumah, mendukung dan memfasilitasi fitrah bermain, menjadikan potensi kecerdasan menjadi lebih “terbuka”. Tidak hanya “terbuka”, tetapi juga menguatkan potensi kecerdasan yang dikandung dari fitrah bermain anak.

Berikut tabel yang dideskripsikan dari fitrah bermain anak.

| Fitrah bermain mengandung | : | Potensi minat, yaitu :
1) Suka-senang-bahagia bermain bola, 2) Suka-senang-bahagia dalam bermain sosial. |
| Konsistensi fitrah bermain selanjutnya | : | Jika dilakukan secara terus menerus, kontinyu akan berkembang dan menguat menjadi potensi Bakat. |
| Fitrah bermain menstimulasi | : | 1) Kecerdasan gerak (kinestetik)
2) Kecerdasan interaksi sosial (interpersonal) 3) Kecerdasan bahasa (lingusitik) |
Fitrah bermain anak akan menghasilkan tumbuh dan berkembangnya kuncup-kuncup minat yang dapat menjadi potensi kecerdasan.
Oleh karena itu, dalam dunia pendidikan sekolah dasar, setiap anak yang akan bersekolah di kelas 1 SDIT Insan Mandiri Jakarta, akan disurvei jenis-jenis potensi kecerdasannya yang telah berkembang sebelumnya, agar saat di kelas 1 SDIT Insan Mandiri nanti mereka akan terus mendapatkan dukungan stimulus dan intervensi cara belajar yang sesuai dengan kuncup kecerdasan mereka.
Di SDIT Insan Mandiri Jakarta, setiap anak akan di survei potensi dan jenis kecerdasannya,
sehingga anak-anak ini berkembang sesuai dengan jalur potensi kecerdasannya yang terus dan akan berkembang seiring waktu sampai anak-anak ini mencapai level kecerdasan terbaiknya di usia menengah atas. SDIT Insan Mandiri Jakarta, sangat peduli pada perkembangan potensi kecerdasan anak. Semoga.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
