Tujuh guru ‘Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK)’ SDIT Insan Mandiri mengikuti Seminar “Bersahabat dengan anak istimewa (ABK) di sekolah” Sabtu, 6 Oktober 2018 pk.08.00 s/d 12.00 WIB yang bertempat di Aula Utama Taman Wisata Situ Gintung. Selain 7 guru dari SDIT IMJ, juga ikut serta 2 guru SDIT IMK dan satu orangtua murid berkebutuhan khusus. Kegiatan seminar ini diadakan oleh Rumah Keluarga Indonesia (RKI) bekerjasama dengan Rumah Anak Istimewa. Hadir sebagai pembicara Sri Rosi Lintang Ariyani, seorang Psikolog yang kini anggota DPRD Komisi 2 Tangerang Selatan dan Ariyanti Setyaningsih, S.Psi, Konselor Rumah Anak Istimewa.

Menurut Sri Lintang Rosi Aryani, Psi Bahwa ada jenjang persiapan yang harus dijalani sebelum anak (dengan gangguan perkembangan autisme) dimasukan ke lingkungan sekolah umum, yaitu:

1) Kesiapan anak mengikuti belajar & rutinitas sekolah, misanya makan bersama, toilet training, olahraga, upacara, dan lain-lain.

2) Sekolah yang perlu dipertimbangkan diantaranya bagaimana lingkungannya, budaya sekolah dalam menerima perbedaan anak, keterlibatan untuk treathment terkait pengetahuan & ketrampilan tatalaksana ABK.

3) Orang tua
yang menyesuaikan target pendidikan bagi ABK di sekolah sesuai potensi yang ditampilkan anak.

Selanjutnya, Aryanti Setyaningsih, S.Psi memberikan tips bagaimana menangani murid ABK, bahkan ia menghadirkan muridnya untuk testimuni sekaligus simulasi penanganan.

“Kita harus tahu bagaimana menghadapi ABK yang mengamuk, supaya kita tidak dipukul, diludahi dan lain-lain,” terang Aryanti menjelaskan.

“Sebagai testimoni ABK, kami hadirkan dari Rumah Anak Istimewa namanya Bintang, usia 22 tahun, sudah punya usaha produksi kue-kue kering & bolu, dari belanja dan produksi, Bintang yang mengerjakan.” ungkapnya

“Ini target dari pembelajaran ABK agar mampu memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi sendiri, kemandirian personal, pilihan-pilihan hidup & interaksi sosial,” jelasnya menerangkan sekaligus mencontohkan teknik mendampingi murid ABK.
